- The Sign of the Hare
-
- The word Hare is often translated as Cat, which is
- possibly more accurate from the European viewpoint. The
- Chinese character means small furry animal. In terms of
- character, Hare means sophistication.
-
- Hares love fashion and beauty, and artistic things in
- general. They like to mix with high society, but can
- mix with anyone - except a Dragon. However they can be,
- or appear to be, snobbish. Collecting Art, or little
- ornaments, are typical Hare persuits (so is Wine
- snobbery).
-
- Hares like to plan, and they are very good at it. They
- also like to carry out their plans, but they would
- rather nobody sees them doing it. They prefer it if you
- just see their head pop up in different places without
- ever seeing how they got there, or know where they will
- be next.
-
- Some Hares use this secrecy to hide some very dodgy
- dealing. Since they are so good at keeping their own
- secrets, and equally good at seeing through dishonesty
- in others Hares, make ideal spies. More usually Hares
- just attempt to hide themselves from the nasty things
- in life. This can lead to loneliness.
